I have been an amateur astronomer for approximately 12 years, and have served much of time as a board member of the Spokane Astronomical Society. I regularly observe the Moon and variable stars through my two refractors with objective size 100 mm and 80 mm both f6. I have been a member of ICOP for about three years, and though not a Muslim, I challenge myself to find and observe the new crescent.
