He took this picture of the TV monitor screen. The arrow is pointing at the area he believed was abnormal and could be a possible Lunar Transient Phenomena event.
Image taken by David O. Darling taken using a SCT Celestron 8 with a PC-23C video camera from Super Circuits.
My image was taken on 2000 November 02 at 23:17 UT. or 5:17 CST local time. My image needs to be flipped over so it will be in the same orientation as the top image.
I have found during this preliminary investigation that the two images are very similiar. This may only be the normal appearance of this feature under this lighting conditions.
Future observations of this region will help in confirming if this bright region is abnormal or the normal appearance of this crater under these lighting conditions.
The following observing windows will take place when the lighting conditions will duplicate for this observation.
2001/03/01 22:00 UT.
2001/05/28 21:54 UT.
2001/06/27 22:17 UT.
2001/08/25 20:25 UT.
2001/10/23 21:14 UT.
